1. Introduction

Prorest Gastronomietechnik AG, Rafz UID CHE-112.567.805 (hereinafter referred to as Prorest 100% Chef OOS), is not only committed to offering you the best products but also to the proper handling and security of your data that you provide to us. Therefore, we have updated our privacy policy to comply with the new Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG CH effective from September 1, 2023).

4. How do we collect your personal data? What kind of data do we collect?

Please note that the 100% Chef website uses some of your data, obtained through various forms and at different times, to ensure the proper functioning of the webshop. Here you can see the details:

-When creating an account on the website: we use the personal data you provide when creating a user account: first and last name, password, email address, phone number, postal address, country, bank details, account creation date, date of birth, etc.

-Through website usage: we also use other information about you that we can learn from your use of the internet: your location; your IP address; purchased products; the identification code we link to your profile in our system; your navigation through the platform (date and time of login, clicks, etc.) and the hardware, software, and browser you use, payment information, etc.

-From third parties: we may receive personal data about you and your activities from third parties, including official 100% Chef distributors in your country. We will only use this personal data if you give your explicit consent to such data sharing, or if 100% Chef has a legitimate interest in using the personal data to provide you with products, services, or information you may be interested in.

For all the above and any other information we may store about you, we use the term personal data.

5. Why do we use your personal data?

-Primarily, to provide you with an online shopping service, enabling you to manage your own account where you can make purchases, watch videos, download professional content, check invoices, etc.

-To carry out marketing activities. This information helps us determine which news, products, and personalized promotions might be most interesting to you.

-To improve our platform. Based on browsing data, we work to enhance the quality of the service, making it more functional and better suited to your needs.

To comply with your request, we need to ensure it is really you, so you must provide us with a copy of your ID. We also appreciate it if you specify which right you wish to exercise. -Access. You can ask us to confirm whether we use your personal data or not. If we do, we will also provide additional information, such as which personal data we have, what we use it for, which companies we share it with, how long we keep it, and whether we create profiles, among others.

-Rectification. You can ask us to amend any personal data we hold about you so that it is correct and up-to-date. Remember that you should keep the personal data in your user account updated at all times; you can do this in the “My Account” section.

Please note that we will inform you promptly if we decide to make any changes to our privacy policy, before such changes take effect. This way, you will know how we intend to use your personal data before we start doing so.
